Things To Do

Universal’s Islands of Adventure

The Islands of Adventure, the park of Universal Orlando Resort, is the park of adrenaline and adventure and won another excellent roller coaster to Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure that takes visitors to a flight through the forbidden forest in a completely immersive and adrenaline filled environment.

This attraction expands the experience at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade which remains one of the most amazing experiences for fans of the wizard saga. The journey of witches and wizards (who are not witches) begins in Hogsmeade, the little town built exactly like the movie, with some stores that really work and others of facade to compose the scene.

No details have been forgotten, including the fake snow on the roofs. There are several attractions among simulator, frog choir and even an experience at the magic wand shop, Ollivander. The most popular attraction is the Forbidden Journey simulator, the “forbidden journey” inside Hogwarts Castle and the projection show is a must.

The queue, which is usually huge, already transports visitors to the world of Hogwarts. Harry Potter fans will notice the detlahes: from the room full of books by Dumbledore, the school principal, through corridors and rooms with talking pictures that talk to each other and to visitors. Harry, Ron and Hermione invite them on an adventure that transports visitors to the film’s most famous scenes. From a dragon chase to a flight through the castle, through the quadribol tournament where you can feel yourself flying in a Nimbus 2000.

At the exit of the attraction, the “Filchs Emporium” store has souvenirs for the fans: Sonserina and Grifinória uniforms, sips that are the balls used in the quadribol and the famous owls. Wanting to taste the beans of various flavors, go to Berties Bott Every-Flavor Beans, there are “flavors” not very traditional as ear wax, grass, spinach and vomit. The butter beer is not left out.

Make the connection with Diagon Alley at Universal Studios by Hogwarts Express. Don’t forget that you’ll need to buy tickets to both parks on the same day.

For those who enjoy adrenaline rush, don’t miss the Incredible Hulk roller coaster and The Amazing Adventures of Spider-man attraction at Marvel Super Hero Island. Skull Island: Reign of the Kong and Raptor Encounter are two other attractions that have opened in recent years and are very successful with the kids.

Children will enjoy Seuss Landing, an area based on Dr Seuss’s children’s books with attractions with unusual and very colourful names, and also Toon Lagoon, with comic characters.

For lunch, try a reservation at Mythos Restaurant, one of the best park restaurants in Orlando or go out to CityWalk to eat at one of the delicious restaurants there. Cafe 4 offers a daily dinner with characters at Marvel Character Dining featuring Captain America, Spiderman, Wolverine, Storm and Rogue.
